For the first time since 1985, a major spring football league successfully enters a noninaugural season. The opening weekend has two games played in Memphis and two in Birmingham.

All times are Eastern.

Game assignments

Saturday, April 15

  • Philadelphia Stars at Memphis Showboats, 4:30 p.m. Fox — Bryan Banks
  • New Jersey Generals at Birmingham Stallions, 7:30 p.m. Fox — Adam Savoie

Sunday, April 16

  • Michigan Panthers vs. Houston Gamblers (at Memphis), noon NBC Peacock — Derek Anderson
  • Pittsburgh Maulers vs. New Orleans Breakers (at Birmingham), 6:30 p.m. FS1 — Stuart Mullins

Crews

All replays are handled by Mike Pereira in Los Angeles. The on-site supervisors are Steve Strimling for the games in Memphis and Ron Baynes in Birmingham.
