Officiating crews for the 2024 UFL season
70 officials were hired for the merged USFL/XFL league
Football Zebras has obtained the officiating crews for the United Football League, the merger of the USFL and XFL.
The UFL uses the NFL’s 7-person mechanics and has 70 officials from the Football Bowl Subdivision conferences on ten crews. The league will follow NFL rules generally, with modifications from the USFL and XFL merged in.
Many of the officials have been scouted by the NFL under its Mackie Development Program, but the league had no formal role in the UFL staffing process. The UFL officiating staff includes seven women, the highest for a major spring league to date.
Officials are listed by their position and number with their current college conference, with offseason conference changes noted. Assignments for last season’s bowl games, all-star games, and conference championships are listed (alternates are not shown, except for the all-star games). The number of seasons in the Mackie Development Program, and in a spring pro league are indicated, which includes any AAF, USFL, or XFL roster position plus this UFL season. (The NFL officiating department declined to provide a roster for the MDP program in 2023, which may affect some totals. Officials that worked all-star games in early 2023 or NFL preseason games were counted.)

very good crews in ufl spring league this year, i scouted several of them for the nfl officiating dept, the past 5 years.

your staff does a great job, you should have zebta officiating apparel, like pullovers, and hats, as a nfl scout for walt anderson, since, 2015, your part of my sorce of getting information.

Many female umpires this year, which I find interesting for many reasons. Commonly has been former linemen when they were on the defensive side of the LOS. I wonder if the NFL moving them to the backfield made the position more viable for others (like me, i’m a twig).
