John Parry is the referee for the Thursday night game between the Chicago Bears (airing opposite of the Cubs in Game 5 of the NLCS) and the Green Bay Packers (from the smallest U.S. television market with a major pro sports team). Who said viewership was down?

The Cowboys and Panthers have a bye with the crews of Gene Steratore and Tony Corrente off this week. Swing officials and substitutions on the crew will be posted on Sunday morning.

  1. yuck! why does that dumb MILF wanna be always end up officiating games I see on tv?

    a joke

  2. Yes you are a joke will johnson, but you’re gonna have to be more specific since you seem to hate everybody.

  3. McAuleys crew Sunday. Should be high scoring since his crew refuses to call push offs. Watch out for the surprise personal foul outta nowhere to decide the game.

  4. Zach the Bengals record is not a fair reflection of the team. First 6 weeks was probably one of the hardest in the NFL if not the hardest so why do they not deserve the best ref. The Browns well are bad but still. Raiders and jaguars are just as bad. Sorry Ben I had to defend my teamom, I know you do not like these kind of posts

  5. Oh and the Browns had trimester week 4 so that could not happen with the nfl rule of no referee officiating the same team in a 4 week period during the regular season

  6. Less folks watching? Great solution having Parry and his flag happy crew do a prime time game. That’ll help things……

  7. Good for you Ben Austro.

You are so brave for using the name Washington. You are setting a great example for all who read your work.

  8. I’m glad I’m not the only one who knows each referee’s quirks and that they are the personality of each game they officiate. Also, I would like to thank the producer of this site just for being here and for doing the research every week. Thank you. Now let’s go watch John Parry (on DVR; note the time stamp, EDT)

  9. I can’t remember Triplette doing a Steelers game home or away since about 4 years ago when he had Pittsburgh/Baltimore in a playoff game. Yeah, I know, everyone hates him blah blah blah but is there any specific reason why he doesn’t get Steelers games?
