The 97th season league history begins Sunday from the place where the seed was first planted — Canton, Ohio.
Culminating the enshrinement festivities of the 2016 class of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday will be the Hall of Fame game between the Packers and Colts, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern time Sunday. The game will be seen on ESPN, as NBC is taking a quadrennial break from the game due to coverage of the Olympics.
Referee Jerome Boger will lead a mixed crew in the exhibition game.

last year none of the HOF crew officials worked the playoffs.
Surprisingly, 5 of the 7 worked the Pro Bowl. Still apropos of nothing.
Actually Roy Ellison worked the divisional championship.
2b1 didn’t pay attention…. I said none of the 2015 HOF game officials went on to work a playoff game in the 2015 playoffs.
Why are they moving crews around again? Wouldn’t it be better if crews under a ref actually worked together for a while?
The Hall of Fame Game is always a mixed crew. Everyone will go to their regular crews for the remainder of the preseason.
When will the rest of preseason assignments be posted?
