  1. Cin@Bal just under 2:00 in 1st half, good application by Walt Coleman of the process of the catch rule. Cin receiver caught the ball and was going to the ground as he extended the ball across the goal line. The ball was dropped as he hit the ground inside the endzone and during an officials review Coleman overturned the ruling on the field of a touchdown with a great explanation of the process of the catch rule.

  2. I mentioned this on Twitter but I thought John Hussey and his crew did a great job on the mechanics of the new concussion protocol rules. I thought his team worked it well and he explained it clearly. Well done.

  3. Anyone know why Bruce Stritesky U 102 is subbed-in on Carl Cheffers in place of Undrey Wash U 96? Injury / illness replacement? Wash & Cheffers have worked together for years; having a U sub is affecting the speed of ball placement between plays in the Seattle v. Chicago game & already a couple of missed U calls in 1st half.

  4. Stritesky is a swing official this season, and he is going to be subbed in on crews on a prescheduled basis.

  5. Bengals at Ravens – To Ben Austro. It appears Tyler Eifert had bot hands firmly on the football, 4 feet in bounds and made a football move to the goal line before the ball was kicked out of his hands. If you saw the same thing would it has be a TD? This is the most contreversial rule in football especially after the Dez Bryant play in the playoffs last year.

  7. couple of questionable calls in the Jets Eagles game.
    1. Un-necessary roughness call when sproles was tackled by Demario Davis. Total B.S call, that extended the drive.
    2. When Fitzpatrick threw a pick in the End Zone there was a flag on the play. The flag was false start, which should make the play dead instantly. Play should have been blown dead prior to INT, like every other false start call.
