2026 preseason
Referee assignments for preseason week 2
Second week of the 2026 preseason starts in Houston with Eck at the helm
Alan Eck will be in Houston this Thursday to start the second week of the 2026 preseason as the Raiders face the Texans.
As in the first preseason week, multiple scenarios will be practiced, including backup referees and crew-of-6 drills. Mackie Development Program officials will also continue to plug into crews this week, including Robert Richeson, who after completing his first NFL season in 2024, was relegated back to the college ranks. The NFL has given relegated officials the ability to work at the college level, re-enter the development program, and work their way back into the NFL.
All times are Eastern. Live games on NFL Network will be blacked out and telecast on local stations in both teams’ markets. (In some blackouts, a game scheduled to air on tape delay game will be aired live on NFL Network as a substitute game.) All games are available live on NFL+.
The 2026 officiating crews are listed here, but note that there may be substitutions from the regular crew personnel each week.
