2026 preseason

Referee assignments for preseason week 1

Rogers kicks off the 2026 preseason in Pittsburgh

Published

on

Brad Rogers is getting ready for the first nationally televised game of the first full preseason week as the Packers take on the Steelers on Thursday evening.

As the officiating crews kick off the 2026 season, we will be seeing 9 officials trying their hand at the referee position for an undisclosed number of snaps. In past seasons, we’ve seen non-white hats lead the crew for the full game, a half, or even less. In all but one instance, a college official in the Mackie Development Program will fill in the position left by the official who is working out at the referee position.

All times are Eastern. Live games on NFL Network will be blacked out and telecast on local stations in both teams’ markets. (In some blackouts, a game scheduled to air on tape delay game will be aired live on NFL Network as a substitute game.) All games are available live on NFL+.

The 2026 officiating crews are listed here, but note that there may be substitutions from the regular crew personnel each week.
