The NFL heads into the middle of the preseason this weekend with games Thursday through Monday.

Football Zebras has confirmed that three officials will get a tryout at the referee position. For each of those crews, the veteran referee will be on hand to mentor the prospective referee during breaks in the game.

Additionally, there are college officials in the Mackie Development Program — the NFL’s officiating development pipeline — that will be working this weekend. Umpire Sarah Fleming will be working the Dolphins-Texans game and side judge Karina Tovar will be in the Saints-Chargers game. Both women were on an all-female officiating crew in January’s Hula Bowl.

The league office does not distribute the full list of assignments to officials, other than their own assignments. Therefore, some assignments were not available to us at the time of publication, which are shown as blank and will be updated.

All times are Eastern. Live games on NFL Network will be blacked out and telecast on local stations in both teams’ markets. (In some blackouts, a game scheduled to air on tape delay game will be aired live on NFL Network as a substitute game.) All games are available live on NFL+.

The 2023 officiating crews are listed here, but note that there may be substitutions from the regular crew personnel each week.
