Referee assignments, preseason week 4

The preseason concludes with a full slate of games on Thursday that all kick off generally in the 7:00 hour, local time. At least it was that way until Tropical Depression 9 became a looming threat to Florida, so the Buccaneers home game was moved to Wednesday. Craig Wrolstad will head the crew of the rescheduled game in Tampa.

There are three officials that are getting a tryout at the referee position. They are heading the the crews that they will be working on during the regular season. It is not clear if the tryout officials are working a half or a whole game.

  1. It’s the REDSKINS! Use the team name instead of the city like every other team on here.

  2. Good catch. That’s hilarious! Seriously, it’s also pathetic.

Does the person who wrote that schedule think they are more moral for having done that? I mean what is the motivation? Is it like some granola cruncher who thinks driving a Prius makes them “enlightened”, and they can feel just a little bit better than those of us who drive a big SUV or a big car with a V8 engine?

I hope whoever wrote that can feel better about him or herself for being such a principled social justice warrior.

  3. Do they bring in development refs to fill the position vacated by the auditioningredients refereed or do the leave that position vacant. Or do they just use someone who has a bye week. Love the site for information just wanted to know

  5. @ Don’t and From— You guys are an embarrassment to the whole country. At least Ben has the good sense not to propagate a name that offends so many and accomplishes no purpose. Kudos to Ben for his social conscience.

However, he might be just as bad in calling the team by the name of their city. After all, the “father” of our country was a wealthy man who owned slaves and oppressed many.

  6. @PC Principal-You are the biggest embarrassment to our world! Its idiots like you who are ruining your country! Thank goodness I don’t live in America, where sensitive idiots are abundant.

  7. Do you live in a country where sarcasm is not understood? Ever watched South Park? Capable of thought? just sayin

  8. I think Both referees should’ve been mic’d for the 49ers-Chargers game. It was pretty obvious from the start that Alex Kemp’s wasn’t working properly
