Walt Anderson will lead the officiating crew in tonight’s Hall of Fame game (NBC/8 p.m. EDT).
Typically, the Hall of Fame game crew is assembled from various crews. Officials are assigned visits to training camps to answer questions and work scrimmages, but today’s officials did not have a training camp assignment to the best of our knowledge.
We have not been able to ascertain the full crews yet. We are aware that the crews were reassigned after referee Mike Carey resigned, so we are attempting to reconstruct the new list. Hopefully, we will be able to post the crew assignments later this week.
Update: Steve Freeman is the back judge. The name and number originally supplied was from the Hall of Fame media department.

Watching the game, and a deep incomplete pass was whistled dead by the BJ, and I believe it is Steve Freeman. He is wearing the 133 BJ jersey, and looks significantly older than his son, Brad.
Thanks, Cameron. We originally had Steve, but then we got Brad’s name through official channels.
