  1. If there was no possession of the snap by the quarterback, could it also have been ruled an illegal bat forward by the quarterback?

  2. I know that you are aware of this fact, but for the benefit of others, this signal is consistent with the fact that there has not been possession and is still the snapped ball (a backward pass, by rule).
