Bears receiver Eddie Royal tossed the ball after the play and was assessed a 5-yard penalty for spiking the ball. Was this correct?

  1. Not to put too fine a point but I saw the ball thrown and spun in multiple games so far this season with no penalty at all.

    All we want is consistency. If they are going to call 20-25 penalties a game do them the same for each team, each week, from crew to crew.

  2. Here is the “spike” or throwing the ball or whatever the “official” wants to claim it was.
