After 3 below average games, can Gene Steratore and his crew receive just passing grades? The overall performance of the NFL Referees have been poor thru 3 weeks. Penalty after penalty after penalty after penalty. Too bad someone can’t throw a flag on them.
At the top of the incompetent list….Gene Steratore and Terry Mcaulay.
Thanks again Ben for this early information….
Steratore’s crew is old, save Dino and Gary Arthur (now on DL). Waggoner can’t even walk without a limp.
Jeff Triplette appropriately saddled with the worst game this week. His work in Detroit last Sunday night was disgraceful.
Awesome. your the man!
I thought triplette had a pretty decent game last week. He called alot of flags but he was thorough.
Bortles probably not “old enough” to get the calls from Hochuli either
Vick wasn’t old enough to get a facemask call Thursday night.
Thanks for posting these. It would be great if you guys could link the ref’s names so we could track which games they’ve done.
John hussey must be impressing the league he has got another big game for a first year referee! Good job!
Your officials for the Bills Giants game were absolutely horrible!! I have never seen so many touchdowns taken away for phantom calls.
When is the NFL going to employ younger men (maybe college players who don’t make the pros) as referees? These old refs can’t see, don’t have reflexes and can’t think. They are more active in affecting outcomes than the two teams. It’s getting difficult to watch week and week and seeing the only consistent thing is INCONSISTENCY! They are the definition of arbitrary and capricious. Why don’t teams have a challenge flag for a blatant bad penalty or phantom penalty? Refs aren’t God. We need younger men who can devote themselves to this fulltime. Guys who know the game, played the game, and can keep up physically and with good eyesight. Or hire more women. Women are generally better at enforcing rules evenly. The inconsistency is really bad and hard to take.
I agree officials should be full time. They make more as part timers than most of us ever will. All over six figures. With those wages they don’t even need a job during the week.
Waggoner goes emphatic calling off his HL’s TD call in Carolina, then gets over turned. Beautiful!!! He is almost 70…retire, Bob!
Where are the REDSKINS!!!!!
why does Morelli’s crew get games in California he’s from Stockton, Ca
But Gene Steratore doesn’t get any Steelers game since he’s from
Pittsburgh
Is that fair?
I think who ever makes the assigments should not allow Morelli
to call any games In California.
