2024-25 bowl games
SEC officiating crew assigned to the National Championship
This year’s crew also worked the Fiesta Bowl

The expanded playoffs have lead to a level-up assignment procedure for the Semifinal and National Championship games. After the first eight games were played, the crews for the final three games were determined.
All playoff games in the bowl subdivision are officiated by Power conference crews — ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, and SEC. All crew assignments are made in coordination with the College Football Playoff administration.
The Semifinal crews were announced last week, but the Championship crew was not. The assignment would go to one of the higher ranked playoff crews, but a crew could not work a game with a team from the same conference.
This leaves the SEC as the odd conference out, as the ACC and Big 12 worked the semifinal round and the Ohio State Buckeyes locked out a Big Ten crew from working. The SEC has never sent an officiating crew to the National Championship since the dawn of the CFP era in 2015; all other Power conference officials, including the Pac-12, have been assigned at least twice.
The SEC crew, with the exception of the alternate official, is the same crew that worked the Fiesta Bowl.
