USFL Week 5 officiating assignments

Week 5 of the USFL has 2 crews working 4 games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Week 5 of the USFL season once again has two crews working the four games over the weekend with referees working with different crews than usual.

As part of the Week 4 swap, James Carter and Alex Moore are working this weekend, while their crews were assigned last week. All of the officiating crew swaps this week were prescheduled.

Moore was one of 8 USFL officials hired by the NFL.

Game assignments

All games are played at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., and times listed are Eastern.

Friday, May 13

  • Michigan Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Renegades, 8 p.m. USA — James Carter (Banks crew)

Saturday, May 14

  • New Orleans Breakers vs. New Jersey Generals, 3 p.m. Fox — Alex Moore (Heydt crew)

Sunday, May 15

  • Birmingham Stallions vs. Philadelphia Stars, 12 noon NBC — James Carter (Banks crew)
  • Houston Gamblers vs. Pittsburgh Maulers, 4 p.m. Fox — Alex Moore (Heydt crew)
