USFL Week 2 officiating assignments

The USFL continues into its second week by assigning two crews to four games. Referees Duane Heydt and Alex Moore will head their crews this weekend. This practice of assigning two crews for the weekend will continue throughout the regular season, and as such the crew headed by James Carter will get their debut in Week 3.

Game assignments

All games are played at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., and times listed are Eastern.

Friday, April 22

• Michigan Panthers vs. New Jersey Generals, 8 p.m. USA — Duane Heydt

Saturday, April 23

• Pittsburgh Maulers vs. Philadelphia Stars, noon Fox — Alex Moore
• Birmingham Stallions vs. Houston Gamblers, 7 p.m. FS1 — Duane Heydt

Sunday, April 24

• New Orleans Breakers vs. Tampa Bay Bandits, 3 p.m. NBC Peacock — Alex Moore
