USFL Week 1 officiating assignments and coverage

The first week of the USFL regular season begins with one game on Saturday night and three games on Sunday.

The first weekend of USFL games begin with a Saturday night game and 3 Sunday games. Crews will officiate two of the games over the weekend. Referees Larry Smith and Bryan Banks will lead their crews in the inaugural week of the re-birth of the USFL.

Game assignments

All games are played at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., and times listed are Eastern.

Saturday, April 16

  • New Jersey Generals vs. Birmingham Stallions, 7:30 p.m. Fox NBC Peacock — Larry Smith

Sunday, April 17

  • Houston Gamblers vs. Michigan Panthers, noon NBC Peacock — Bryan Banks
  • Philadelphia Stars vs. New Orleans Breakers, 4 p.m. USA — Larry Smith
  • Tampa Bay Bandits vs. Pittsburgh Maulers, 8 p.m. FS1 — Bryan Banks
