Alliance of American Football: Week 5, 2019

In the fifth weekend of Alliance of American Football play, referees Brandon Cruse, Tra Blake, James Carter, and Jeff Heaser will take the field with their crews to conclude the first half of the regular season.

Follow our live coverage here this weekend during the games, and on our Twitter page, @footballzebras.

Illegal forward pass

Birmingham Iron quarterback Keith Price is wrong when he comes on downfield more or less one away from the line of scrimmage to pass. That’s too much, as the line judge will make the split decision to line ’em up before throwing the flag.

Orlando does not need to decide if they will give or keep the penalty, as the overbid removes all temptation as a loss of down. Since it was fourth down, it is a switcheroo of possession, putting Orlando on the golden road in their undefeated season.

Game assignments are below. All times are Eastern. TV networks are in a rounded box, streaming providers in a dashed box. The game between Orlando and Birmingham will only be broadcast on TNT and will not be live-streamed on Bleacher Report.
