Chicago is center stage in the football world as the host of the NFL Draft weekend, and the league has several special events scheduled around the selection meeting. On Saturday, USA Football will hold a flag football tournament in conjunction with the NFL’s Play 60 youth exercise initiative. We are proud to announce that Football Zebras contributing writer Josh Lewis will be one of the officials at the all-day tournament at Grant Park.

Josh has been officiating for six years in adult flag-football leagues, including the National Flag Football League of Atlanta, the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association, and the National Gay Flag Football League. He has qualified to work tournaments in all three leagues in several different cities. Josh joined Football Zebras last season. During the week he is a compliance manager with a travel rewards program, Rocketmiles.

Josh is scheduled to meet with NFL vice-president of officiating Dean Blandino as a part of the event.

If you are in the area and want to see the tournament, you are encouraged to pre-register, but it is not required.

Congratulations, Josh, on the prestigious assignment. Now, if only we can get you to wear your hat the right way!
