Football Zebras is happy to announce that our very own Josh Lewis, once again, will be officiating games on Saturday as part of the official activities scheduled around the NFL Draft. This is Josh’s second year working the event, seen here at last year’s event with Tom LaNeve, a committee member of the NFL Flag Football Committee at USA Football and the officiating coordinator for the tournament.

USA Football will hold a flag-football tournament in conjunction with the NFL’s Play 60 youth exercise initiative. The tournament will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, with Josh working multiple games through the day. Games will be played at Upper and Lower Hutchinson Fields in Chicago’s Grant Park, and spectators are welcome.

Josh has been officiating for seven years in adult flag-football leagues, including the National Flag Football League of Atlanta, the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association, and the National Gay Flag Football League. He has qualified to work tournaments in all three leagues in several different cities. Josh has been writing for Football Zebras for two years. During the week he is the senior manager of human resources with a hotel booking website, Rocketmiles.

We are, of course, very excited and proud of Josh’s assignment this weekend.

Update: Unfortunately, a lot of heavy rain during the week and on game day made the fields unplayable, and the games were cancelled.
