Referee assignments, preseason Week 1

Brad Allen debuts as referee in the Steelers-Giants game this week.

Preseason football is upon us. This week will feature the debut of referee Brad Allen in the Steelers—Giants game. Also in their first year at white hat are Craig Wrolstad and Ronald Torbert, both of whom worked a couple of preseason games last year at the referee position.

Terry McAulay’s crew has the week off. All times are Eastern. Note that NFL Network coverage of live games is blacked out in both teams’ television market.

Thursday, Aug. 7

  • Patriots at Redskins, 7:30 p.m. — Jeff Triplette

Friday, Aug. 8

  • Eagles at Bears, 7 p.m. — Ronald Torbert
  • Bills at Panthers, 7:30 p.m. — Walt Coleman
  • Buccaneers at Jaguars, 7:30 p.m. — Jerome Boger
