Thanks, Gary. That was how it was spelled on the Hall of Fame website. Obviously there is no serious consideration for any official’s enshrinement if they cannot get the spelling right. Obviously, someone must have known him personally, because he was an obscure umpire who did not establish any Hall of Fame credentials.

Tunney, as expected, was dropped from consideration.

For the record, Rex Stuart (not Stewart) was an Umpire from 1984-2000 (He wore number 103). I don’t know why he was nominated, he didn’t even worked a Supèr Bowl, and there are many officials more qualified from each of the seven positions.
